Okay, “trash free” technically only applies if you consider that the small box of non-recyclables accumulated by Amy and Adam Korst now counts as collectible. The Korsts write in their blog, Green Garbage Project: “Oddly enough, this has become enough of a talking piece that we’re unlikely to ever throw this stuff away.”

Computer Simulation Shows BP Spill After 1 Year (Video)

Where will the BP spill be a year after the Deepwater Horizon first exploded on April 20th? It’s hard to say, of course, and depends largely on whether the relief well BP says will be ready next month is successful in cutting of the deep sea gusher. But oceanographers still have some ideas of what’s likely to happen with the spill that’s currently amassing in the Gulf — and they designed a pretty horrifying animated computer simulation to display one possible scenario of how far the spill will reach in 360 day’s time. There is the Pritzker, the Prix de Rome, the RIBA and the AIA awards, and then there is the Shed of the Year prize, honouring the best of this “cornerstone of British culture.” I have had the honour of being a judge three years running, and my top choice never won before.
