Earth Day’s 40th Anniversary Celebration in Virtual World to Inspire Real World Eco-Action.

Twitter’s Green Tweeters to Take Lead Role in EarthDayWebcast

This year, over a billion eco-conscious people will celebrate the 40th anniversary of Earth Day – with months of high-profile activities
all over the planet. And there’s ONE place where you can follow (and participate) in all the action — to show the world how you care for the
planet by creating and sharing eco-videos and other inspirational content. A place where you can interact with your online friends, followers,
and like-minded individuals and organizations around the globe —  while playing an “eco-active”  part in the largest environmental celebration
the world has ever seen!

That place is EarthDayWebcast.com — a new, state-of-the-art digital platform hosted by GreenPlanetSearch.com, the world’s only 100%
solar-powered eco-search portal. Now in its second year, the newly “social media optimized” EarthDayWebcast will bring together and inspire
the global eco-community like never before, allowing for the easy sharing of Earth Day-related videos, photos, and messages via the environmental
world’s most advanced digital platform. Special webcast video programming will be available beginning during special Earth Day Webcast
presentations, during Earth Week (April 19-25) but on-demand videos will be available will be available for viewing from March 22nd through
June 6th — with selected previews available on GreenPlanetSearch by the end of January.

INSPIRATIONAL VIDEOS & THE POWER OF “ECO-ACTION”

According to Peter Einstein, Co-CEO of both GreenPlanetSearch.com and Eco-Active Media (the two presenting hosts of the EarthDayWebcast),
“Each video will represent a contribution to the health and sustainable future of the planet – sharing the sense of purpose, commitment, and global community
that inspired the original Earth Day 40 years ago.” He describes the Webcast’s mission as “more than simply raising awareness of the critical environmental
issues we face and the many challenges ahead. It’s about highlighting the power of individual and collective “eco-action” – while promoting the tireless
work of environmental groups who are fighting to save our planet.”

The Webcast site will be a “planet-friendly, graphically-enhanced YouTube on organic steroids, ” says award-winning web developer Michael
Haney, Co-CEO of Green Planet Search, who designed EarthDayWebcast.com as well as its host site, GreenPlanetSearch.com.

In addition to user-generated content contributed by non-profits and green-minded individuals, the Earth Day Webcast will broadcast video messages from
socially-responsible businesses and “green” marketers, including media companies, healthy food manufacturers, alternative energy suppliers — as well as
schools, local communities, governmental leaders and agencies, leading authors, scientists, and celebrities.

HISTORY

Last year, GPS beta-tested the EarthDayWebcast concept, attracting the support and participation of a number of major environmental groups,
including the Sierra Club, National Resources Defense Council (NRDC), Environmental Defense Fund, Rainforest Alliance, Sting’s Rainforest
Foundation, EarthShare (the powerful fundraising federation of the environmental world), and Al Gore’s own non-profit, The Climate Project.
(See examples of PSAs, eco-videos, postings, and Press Releases from the first EarthDayWebcast.)

In addition, the 2009 Webcast featured a collection of environmental PSAs from the Ad Council, representing some of finest examples of the organization’s
work over its first 66 years — including the famous “Crying Indian” spots for the popular “Keep America Beautiful” anti-littering campaign.

The 2nd Annual EarthDayWebcast began its pre-launch campaign on Twitter in early January of this year, and
was immediately flooded with responses from a broad cross-section of leading non-profit groups, green bloggers,
and eco-conscious marketers. Many of these these “Green Tweeters” have sizable followings of their own — and
with all the retweeting that’s already starting to occur, the EarthDayWebcast could be well on its way to “going viral.”

SCHEDULE

Beginning on March 22nd, we will start presenting new contributions of content, tweets, and comments from the global Earth Day community as part our month-long
“Countdown to Earth Day” — including coverage of the World Wildlife Fund’s repeat of its highly-successful Earth Hour on March 28th.  On April 1st, we will kick
off Earth Month — which will feature special programming on Earth Week especially the 40th Anniversary of Earth Day on April 22nd. The Webcast
